The Odyssey is LDS's flagship Windows-based data recorder. It offers a wide range of signal conditioning, direct to disk continuous storage of up to 1 MS/s on each channel, transient data capture to 10 MS/s, and storage of over 144 GB. The Odyssey provides a broad range of analysis capabilities in real-time or playback plus saves data directly in over 20 popular formats. It can be used either as a transient recorder or a data acquisition system or both, depending on the choice of acquisition boards.

Dedicated real-time hardware is combined with a Microsoft Windows user interface to assure gap-free recording at 24MB/s for almost two hours, or weeks to months at lower rates. A separate ADC and DSP for every channel provides exact phase matching, digital filtering, and intelligent triggering. A Pentium III processor runs Nicolet analysis software or any other Windows applications, even while recording at full speed. Ethernet remote control software allows viewing of live waveforms anywhere on the network and sub-microsecond synchronization of any number of distributed Odysseys.
