Picotech's DrDAQ plugs easily into parallel ports of common Windows computers.
This device has built-in sensors for light & temperature measurements, there's also a microphone for sound recording. The device can also measure voltage and resistance. Further, it has a socket for standard pH electrodes and connectors that let you use optional external sensors for measuring temperature, humidity, pressure, etc.
This unit comes with software and cables, and is a superb tool for classroom science experiments.
