A one-day course that trains individuals on how to get the most from their data-acquisition hardware and software, such as DASYLab, as quickly as possible ... so one can, from the begining, start collecting the data needed accurately and efficiently.

This course was designed for any person involved in collecting data from transducers and sensors using a laptop or PCs -- whether one is an engineer needing to monitor + record signals in real-time; or a technician; or scientist engaged in a pure laboratory research and looking to improve data collection; a manufacturing engineer searching for product-test solutions. Students will find this course provides an excellent introdp to PC-based data acquisition and utilizing DASYLab makes for quick and efficient software configuration so you can get results fast. No prior knowledge of data-acquisition hardware or software required to attend this course.

This hands-on seminar will teach one to:

Install data-acquisition hardware
Set-up, install and configure DASYLab software
Hook up transducers in order to monitor parameters -- i.e., temperature, pressure, displacement, etc.
Use DASYLab features such as scaling, chart and 'scope displays, data reduction, data logging w/ alarms, and data playback
Perform advanced data-reduction (via triggers to capture area of interest data)
Perform analysis functions to extract results real-time
Save data for future import and analysis in Excel and other analysis tools including SPC (Statistical Process Control)
