Machine builders and fluid reservoir suppliers are no limited to costly, discrete (high-low) level switches for feedback...

MTS Sensors has enginered new liquid-level sensors that use similar Temposonics magnetostrictive sensing technology formerly exclusive to its other, more-expensive sensors.

The current ML product line has a small envelope, IP65-sealed housing, and gauging to 250mm. MTS Sensors plans to release measurement capabilities to 1500mm soon. Sensors are available with stainless steel housings, popular plastic housings, or as an embeddable core sensor. Standard outputs will include 0 Vdc to 5Vdc and 4mA to 20mA, with an input voltage of 12 Vdc.

Applications include: steel production, wood processing, and form and fabrication industries. The ML housings is avail. in a range of materials to accommodate applications in a braod range of fluids used in heavy production equipment, such as hydraulic oil and cooling water.
