The 150 mV dropped across RL in the bottom ground return line arises from the 30 mA of current flowing in 5.2 of lead wire resistance. The voltage adds to the sensor’s 2.50-V signal to yield
2.65 V at the input to the signal-conditioning amplifier and produces a 6.6% error.
