The Dash 8Xe gives all the data acquisition power and flexibility required for almost any application.

The always popular Dash 8X has received several significant new upgrades that make it more versatile than ever. It is now called the Dash 8Xe and it has all the convenient features of the Dash 8X, along with enhancements to the standard Ethernet and USB interfaces:

• 8 channels of modular inputs for any type of signal
• Record data directly to 36 GB hard drive at 200 kHz per channel
• Optional scope card provides 4 additional channels with sample rates up to 5 MHz
• 15" touch-screen display for data viewing and analysis

GBit Ethernet: Also known as 10/100/1000BaseT Ethernet, GBit Ethernet replaces the 10/100BasetT Ethernet found in the standard Dash 8X. This translates to an improvement of over 20 times the upload speed compared to existing Dash 8X. In real world terms, that means that a 200 MByte file that took over 13 minutes to upload with the Dash 8X takes just 38 seconds with the Dash 8Xe!

USB 2.0: With an upgrade from USB 1.1 to USB 2.0, the Dash 8Xe is compatible with a broader range of USB devices. From USB CD-RWs to DVD-RWs to flash memory devices, the Dash 8Xe gives more ways to transfer and archive your data. USB 2.0 supports transfer speeds as fast as 480 Megabits/sec (versus a max transfer speed of 12 Megabits per second for USB 1.1), meaning data transfer and CD/DVD burns will be much quicker. These enhancements come at no additional charge

Upgraded Data Capture Drive: The expanded data capture drive is now 36 Gigabytes. With a built-in touch sceen display, modular signal conditioning, and high-speed data capture directly to a hard drive, the Dash 8Xe has the features of a high speed recorder, data acquisition system, and trending recorder, all combined into one small package.

High-Speed Data Acquisition: The Dash 8Xe captures data continuously to a 36 GByte hard drive at a sample rate of 200 kHz per channel. For faster signals, a 4-channel scope card option allows you to capture data at sample rates up to 5 MHz. Best of all, the Dash 8Xe lets you review captured data without interrupting real-time recording, so you'll never miss an important event.

Big 15.1 " Touchscreen Display: The Dash 8Xe has a large 15.1" color display which allows you to view your data in real-time and post capture. Operation of the Dash 8Xe is quick and easy with the intuitive touch-screen display. Familiar Windows® icons and menus provide for straightforward setup and operation. There are no switches, push-buttons or other controls -complete operation is from the touchscreen. And, you can easily customize it to fit your exact needs.

PC Interface: In today's environment, it is essential that your test equipment talk to your PC. The Dash 8Xe's GBit Ethernet port, USB 2.0 interface, and off-line software make it easier than ever to do this. From setting the system up through your PC to uploading captured data from the hard drive, the Dash 8Xe seamlessly integrates with your computer. Best of all, the Dash 8Xe comes standard with PC-based review software, making it easier than ever to review data.

Modular Inputs: The wide variety of signal input modules let you connect almost any signal. From high voltage, low voltage, temperature, DC Bridge and frequency inputs, most signals can connect directly to the Dash 8Xe. Channel-to-channel isolation means you will never have to worry about cross-talk and signal interference again. Each channel input can be independently set up for any type of signal. You can easily change out a signal module for another type.

Increase you Channel Count: Each Dash 8Xe can have up to eight channels, plus four scope channels yielding a total of 12 channels per Dash 8Xe. Multiple Dash 8Xe systems can even be synchronized for applications requiring more channels, allowing you to expand your channel count to fit your needs.

Optional Strip Chart Recorder: An optional strip chart recorder is available for real-time or post-capture strip chart output. Designed to be quickly attached to the main unit, it provides hard copy output wherever and whenever you need it. Take it to the field for on-location printing of vital data, or leave it at the lab to print out certain parts of your test when you return.
