18 universal inputs: Features 18 universal inputs for voltage, thermocouple and bridge signals, helping avoid worry about having the right signal conditioning. The Dash 18X's large real-time waveform display, internal hard drive for capturing data, integral PC connectivity, and optional chart recorder, give you data in any format needed. Audio and video snapshot recording are synchronized to waveform data, thus ensuring capture for all aspects of tests peformed.
large 17-inch touch-screen display: The Dash 18X features a large 17-inch touch-screen display, making operation quick and easy with the intuitive touch-screen. Familiar Windows® icons and menus provide for straightforward setup and operation. There are no switches, push-buttons, or other controls. Operation is completely from the touchscreen. The 18X can easily be customized to exactly fit all needs. Ideal for troubleshooting applications too.
High-Speed Data Acquisition: The Dash 18X captures 18 channels of data continuously to a dedicated 36 GByte hard drive at a sample rate of 100 kHz per channel, meaning no worry about missing the details in high-speed glitches or transients. For long-term trend recording, the Dash 18X allows you to set the sample rate as low as one sample per minute for days, weeks or even months of recording. The flexible Dash 18X allows versatile choice of the sample rate that is best for your application, meaning that you never have to acquire too much or too little data.
Three Data Acquisition Modes: Three different data acquisition modes of the Dash 18X make it adaptable for almost any application. The three modes are realtime recording mode, scope mode, and acquire/review mode. All three modes allow you to continue recording your data uninterupted, even when you are outside the real-time recording mode.
1. Real-time Recording Mode: Choose real-time recording mode to display your waveforms while capturing to the hard drive. Signals are displayed on the large, color display, giving instant data visibility. Scrolling waveforms show exactly what the signals are doing in real-time.
2. Scope Mode: Use the scope mode for high-speed signals requiring greater timebase resolution. Scope mode gives detailed, real-time view of high frequency signals while capturing data to the hard drive in the background. Traditional scope controls give you the quickest and easiest way to look at your high-speed data.
3. Acquire/Review Mode: The Acquire/Review mode is ideal for applications where immediate access to captured data is important. It allows look back at previously captured data without interrupting real-time recording. The Dash 18X makes it easy to review and analyze data while still recording.
Audio/Video Synchronization: The Dash 18X will bring testing to new levels with its ability to capture audio and video snapshots along with waveform data. It is possible to recreate an entire test in one system. The audio, video and waveform data is synchronized, allowing a more detailed analysis of what events actually took place during a test.
PC Interface: It is essential that test equipment talk to your PC. The Dash 18X's Ethernet Port, DVD+/-RW drive, and off-line software make it easier than ever to do this. The Dash 18X seamlessly integrates with your computer, starting from setting the system up through your PC to uploading captured data from the hard drive to archiving data to a CD or DVD. Of significance importance is the fact the Dash 18X comes standard with PC-based review software, making it totally straight forward and easier than ever to review your data.
Rugged Enough For Any Environment: Test equipment is only useful if it will survive your most harsh environments. The Dash 18X can handle almost any condition, due to its rugged case and compact design. Whether you need to gather data in a steel mill, a dusty vehicle, an oil-fueled power plant, or in the comfort of your own office, the Dash 18X is guaranteed to survive. Just attach the protective cover and start recording.
