Do a Google search for dedicated, non-vendor-sponsored data acquisition Forums or message boards. Given the Internet's importance, it seems strange that few -- if any -- such forums are available. This forum was created out of what was deemed a sheer necessity for just such a topical discussion board.

The objectives of this forum are as follows:

- Provide a central "meeting place" for discussion on unique and common issues. This think-tank-type atmosphere will allow ideas to flow and cutting-edge processes to evolve. The forum endeavors to provide a rich, problem-solving environment for even the most challenging data-acquisition issues.

- Compare and contrast similar hardware or software products amongst myriad manufacturers.

- Provide each major DAQ vendor with a dedicated sub-forum, allowing vendor-specific discussions and comments, available to the Internet audience at large. Allow users of the vendors' products to publicly voice both criticism and praise. It is hoped that such feedback empowers the manufacturer to modify or improve their products accordingly.

If you have any comments or suggestions please reply to this post or send us a PM.
